I am a professor for theoretical ecology at the University of Regensburg (group page, personal homepage). Before, I was a lecturer at the University of Freiburg in the group of Carsten Dormann (see my university website). My main interest are the mechanisms that determine ecosystem functions and diversity patterns, at the community scale as well as at biogeographical and evolutionary scales; (Bayesian) statistical methodology, conservation biology and ecological theory in general. To find out more about my work, have a look at my list of publications and my teaching activities. Also, I blog at theoreticalecology, and tweet (with low enthusiasm though) under @florianhartig.
